Sales Manager- PPF Tieto Indtech (m/f/d)

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a Sales Hunter for the DACH region to strengthen customer relationships and increase market awareness of Tieto’s MES software offerings for the Pulp, Paper, Board, Non-Woven, and Tissue industries. The ideal candidate has a proven track record or attitude and energy to drive in winning and growing accounts, driving revenue and collaborating across teams to deliver high-value solutions and outstanding customer experience.

Your Mission

  • Proactively identify, approach, and win new customers in defined industries and regions, primarily DACH.
  • Own the early-to-mid sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, discovery, demos, and proposal support.
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of new opportunities using CRM and defined sales processes.
  • Work closely with Marketing on campaigns, inbound leads, and outbound initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales on deal strategy, pricing, and closing larger opportunities.
  • Represent the company professionally in customer meetings, demos, and selected industry events.
  • Continuously improve sales skills, product knowledge, and market understanding.
  • Build, foster and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders at all levels, from mill personnel to senior and C-level management, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
  • Develop and execute account strategies that ensure customer satisfaction, retention and revenue growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the DACH region, with a strong focus on hunting new accounts and expanding existing ones.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the portfolio of services and solutions for existing customers, driving incremental revenue.
  • Regularly collect customer feedback and work with internal teams to ensure alignment and continuous improvement of products and services.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on account status, pipeline development, growth opportunities and challenges.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, delivery, service, and product management to ensure a coordinated and customer-centric approach.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary to ensure effective resolution.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, customer challenges and competitive developments to proactively support customers and sales activities.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery and service organizations to ensure timely and successful solution delivery aligned with customer needs and objectives.

What You Bring

Experience & Skills

  • 2–5 years of B2B software sales experience, ideally in niche MES or ERP systems.
  • Proven hunter mindset: outbound prospecting, cold outreach, lead qualification.
  • Experience selling solutions, not just products, including consultative selling.
  • Comfortable speaking with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of sales KPIs: pipeline, conversion rates, deal velocity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain trusted customer relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience navigating complex customer organizations.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive, driving results, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
