The Academic Partnerships team at SAP connects education and industry through a global network of universities, schools, educators, students and educational partners. Together, we promote digital skills, future-ready competencies and the use of innovative technologies in teaching and learning.In Austria, the team works closely with educational institutions, public sector stakeholders and industry partners to create meaningful learning experiences, foster innovation and support the next generation of talent through workshops, events, academic collaborations and community initiatives.Working with us offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic international environment, build a strong professional network and contribute to projects that help shape the future of education and work.

 

What you´ll build 

We are looking for a motivated Working Student (f/m/d) to join the Academic Partnerships Austria team. In this role, you will support initiatives that strengthen collaboration between education and industry, contribute to education programs and community activities, and help engage with universities, schools, educators, students, and other educational stakeholders.

Among others, your responsibilities include:

  • Support the planning and execution of education and community-related events and workshop
  • Assist with SAP Academic Partnerships programs, including SAP University Alliances, SAP Young Thinkers and other engagement activities
  • Support communication and marketing activities across various channels, including presentations, newsletters and social media
  • Support stakeholder engagement with universities, schools, educators and students
  • Assist with reporting, data maintenance and administrative activities
  • Contribute to projects focused on digital skills, innovation, artificial intelligence and future workforce development

 

What you bring

  • Student (f/m/d) currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program at a university or university of applied sciences
  • Computer skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Language skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English
  • Soft skills: Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, proactive and reliable working style, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, self-driven and team-oriented mindset
  • Interest in education, digitalization, innovation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies
  • First experience in project management, event management, marketing, communications, community engagement, or related activities is considered a plus
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including universities, students, educators, and internal teams

 

As an attractive employer we offer you a salary that is based on the current "Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte von Unternehmen im Bereich Dienstleistungen in der automatischen Datenverarbeitung und Informationstechnik", a minimum of €1750 gross/month/full time for interns and €2547 gross/month/full time for working students, in addition to generous additional benefits. 

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.

In vielen österreichischen Unternehmen läuft der Betrieb im Hintergrund über Programme von SAP: die Buchhaltung, das Lager, die Lohnverrechnung. Sichtbar ist davon wenig, verzichten kann kaum ein größerer Betrieb darauf. Die österreichische Gesellschaft mit Sitz in Wien sorgt dafür, dass diese Software bei den Kunden im Land ankommt und verlässlich läuft.

Hinter SAP Österreich steht einer der größten Softwarehersteller der Welt. Fünf frühere IBM-Mitarbeiter gründeten den Konzern 1972 im badischen Walldorf. Heute beschäftigt er weltweit rund 110.000 Menschen (Stand Ende 2024) und zählt außerhalb der USA zu den größten seiner Branche. Das Kerngeschäft ist Unternehmenssoftware. Firmen steuern damit ihre Finanzen, ihre Produktion, ihr Personal. Rund 300 Millionen Nutzer arbeiten inzwischen mit den Cloud-Diensten des Konzerns.

In Österreich ist SAP seit 1986 dabei. Damals begannen sechs Leute in Wien und Linz; das Land gehörte zu den ersten Auslandsmärkten überhaupt. Zu ihrem 35-Jahr-Jubiläum 2021 nannte die Gesellschaft rund 450 Beschäftigte und etwa 1.900 betreute Kunden, gut vier Fünftel davon kleine und mittlere Betriebe. Der Firmensitz liegt in der Lassallestraße im zweiten Wiener Bezirk.

Die Arbeit dreht sich um Beratung, Vertrieb und laufende Betreuung. Manche begleiten Kunden bei der Einführung neuer Systeme, andere halten den Betrieb am Laufen, wieder andere entwickeln Lösungen für einzelne Branchen. Vieles reicht über Ländergrenzen hinweg, weil hinter jedem Projekt der internationale Konzern steht. An der Spitze steht seit Anfang 2025 Andreas Wagner. Der gebürtige Steirer kam vor knapp zwei Jahrzehnten zu SAP, verantwortete zuletzt weltweit das Geschäft für digitale Lieferketten und kehrte für diese Aufgabe nach Österreich zurück.
