As Head of Operations – Air Traffic Management Network Solutions at Frequentis, you direct the operational activities of innovative network solutions for air traffic management customers. You combine strategic vision with a hands-on mentality to drive demanding technological projects. Through appreciative and motivating leadership, you sustainably develop international teams and shape cross-functional processes to ensure the highest availability of safety-critical solutions.

Key Tasks

• Operational and Strategic Team Leadership: Responsible for operational and strategic management of project managers while supporting the Project Engineering Team and aligning activities with the goals of the Market Unit.
• Project Portfolio Management: Set up international projects of the Market Unit Network Solutions, oversee implementation and foster long-term customer loyalty during the maintenance phase, with a special focus on comprehensive projects in Brazil.
• Budget and Resource Responsibility: Plan and control resources, projects and budgets, including transparent and timely reporting to management.
• Performance and Optimisation: Manage planning, implementation and tracking of measures to achieve objectives with profit-and-loss responsibility, and optimise processes regarding costs, quality and efficiency.
• Stakeholder Management: Connect internal and external teams, coordinate resources efficiently and resolve conflicts or escalations in a solution-oriented manner.
• Mentoring and Decision Making: Mentor new employees and promote continuous professional development through clear and binding decisions in day-to-day business.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Completed degree in technology, engineering, aviation, business, IT or comparable qualification.
• Experience: Several years of leadership experience within a corporate environment, preferably in the software sector and in the execution of complex customer projects.
• Mindset: Strong entrepreneurial understanding and sound business knowledge for managing key performance indicators and budgets.
• Personality: Structured approach, overview in critical moments, high dedication and pragmatic hands-on mentality for efficient problem-solving.
• Communication: Strong communicator with business-fluent English and the ability to represent complex matters clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Travel Readiness: Moderate willingness to travel of up to 10% for international appointments and customer visits.

Salary

The remuneration starts from EUR 90,000 gross per year for this position, consisting of the collective agreement minimum salary based on a 38.5 hour week plus an overpayment in line with the market depending on professional qualifications and experience.
