ESG & Compliance Specialist – Legal (f/m/d)

As ESG & Compliance Specialist in the Consumer Health & Product Compliance team, you turn EU packaging and product regulation into concrete decisions on products, drive cross-functional ESG projects and support the Legal team with day-to-day legal matters.

Your responsibilities at waterdrop®

• Legal support: e-commerce topics including webshop content, T&Cs, price and promotion rules, social media law including influencer collaborations and giveaways, and standard contracts such as NDAs, supplier and service agreements.
• PPWR & EPR: implement the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation for drop products and maintain EPR registrations across markets.
• Drinkware compliance: manage food contact compliance of bottles, Smart Caps and LUCY® filters, including supplier declarations of conformity and test reports.
• Green claims & ESG: review environmental claims under the Empowering Consumers Directive, support sustainability reporting and the B Corp journey, and monitor the ESG regulatory landscape.

Your strengths and qualifications

• Completed degree in law, for example Mag. iur. or LL.M.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in a legal or compliance role, ideally in FMCG, food, packaging or consumer goods.
• Solid knowledge of contract law and a good understanding of e-commerce, consumer protection and social media law.
• Curiosity for technical detail; no science background required.
• Structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented working style.
• Fluent English; German is a strong advantage.

The annual gross salary for this position ranges from EUR 62,000 to EUR 72,000 on a full-time basis all-in. The final salary depends on qualifications and professional experience, with willingness for overpayment depending on qualifications.
